MUMBAI: Nimmi, the doe-eyed star of 1950s and ’60s Hindi films reminiscent of ‘Aan’, ‘Barsaat’ and ‘Deedar’, died on Wednesday after extended sickness. She was 88.

The actor was dropped at a suburban Juhu hospital after she complained of breathlessness. She died within the night, household sources instructed PTI.

Nimmi was buried at a cemetery in Reay Street in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon.
