A police officer who was stabbed in west London nonetheless managed to chase and detain a suspect regardless of “bleeding profusely”, the Met’s Police Federation has stated.
The unnamed officer, in his late 20s, was taken to hospital after being significantly injured as he carried out a cease and search in Maida Vale on Tuesday night however has been discharged.
Ken Marsh, chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation, stated the officer’s cease and search was “routine” and the suspect stabbed him beneath the armpit earlier than operating off.
